We are seeking energetic and motivated summer students to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain work experience and contribute to your community.
All positions:
- These positions carry no supervisory duties and training will be provided.
- Hours of work: Various shifts, could include evenings and weekends.
Public Works Labourer
Anticipated Term: June 22– August 28, 2026
Hourly rate: $15.90/hr at 40 hours/week.
Public Works Labourer students assist our Public Works Department in the repair and maintenance of various assets within the Village of Fundy Albert.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general labour tasks as assigned by your supervisor, such as lawn mowing, planting, and maintaining flower beds, garbage collection, trail maintenance, janitorial duties, etc.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures as all times
- Handle materials and equipment in a responsible and safe manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- strong work ethic and attention to detail
- be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- own CSA approved safety boots
- possess knowledge of operation and use of small equipment i.e.: whipper snipper, push mowers, lawn tractor, etc.

Summer Visitor Information Specialist
Anticipated Term: June 22 – August 30, 2026
Hourly rate: $15.90/hr at 25 hours/week.
Are you passionate about our region and eager to share its wonders with visitors from near and far? We have an exciting summer job opportunity for you at the Village of Fundy Albert Visitor Information Centre!
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the visitor centre located in Hillsborough
- Welcome and assist visitors with inquiries about local attractions, events and services
- Provide maps, brochures, and information on points of business
- Answer phone calls to address visitor queries
- maintaining cleanliness of washrooms
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of local attractions and amenities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Lifeguards
Lifeguards Anticipated Term: June 22 – August 30, 2026
Hourly rate: $18.00/hr at 35 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
- ensuring the safety of patrons at the Hillsborough community pool by preventing and responding to waterfront emergencies.
- Provide waterfront safety services;
- Teach swimming lessons
- maintain constant surveillance of patrons;
- acting immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency;
- provide water rescue and first aid care and treatment as required;
- inform the public of safety issues and ensure that safe waterfront practices are upheld;
- maintain a high standard of customer service; and
- other duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
- National Lifeguard Service Certificate
- CPR and emergency First Aid procedures;
- ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations;
- reliability and responsibility;
- flexibility;
- ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Infrastructure Mapping/Public Works Labourer
Anticipated Term: May 25– July 31, 2026
Hourly rate: $18.00/hr at 40 hours/week.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with infrastructure mapping by assessing maps against actual locations
- Perform general labour tasks assigned by your supervisor, such as lawn mowing, planting, and maintaining flower beds, garbage collection, trail maintenance, janitorial duties, etc.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures as all times
- Handle materials and equipment in a responsible and safe manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of tasks
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- mature students and post-secondary students are encouraged to apply.
- preference will be given to students currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, GIS, surveying, or infrastructure management.
- strong work ethic and attention to detail
- possess at a minimum, a valid Class 5 driver’s license
- be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- own CSA approved safety boots
- possess knowledge of operation and use of small equipment i.e.: whipper snipper, push mowers, lawn tractor, etc.
