King Charles III Coronation Medal

As determined during the Committee of the Whole meeting on October 15th, Fundy Albert Council is seeking for the public’s involvement in nominating one person to be awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal. The municipality has been allotted one opportunity to nominate someone by our Member of Parliament, the Honorable Rob Moore. Residents of Fundy Albert who know someone who has exhibited good conduct, high professionalism, or performed worthy deeds that bring credit to family, community, and country are invited to recommend that individual for this award.

If you know someone who fits these criteria and, who you feel is deserving of this award, please provide us the person’s name, address and a short description of their achievements. The description is not to exceed 100 words, or 500 characters. Recommendations for consideration of this award are to be sent to CAO@fundyalbert.ca and will be accepted until 4:00pm on November 13, 2024. Council will then review the recommendations and select one nominee and two alternates for consideration.

FALL 2024 Special Garbage Pick-up

Special Garbage Pick-up will be held in

Alma on Monday October 21st

Hillsborough on Monday October 28th

Riverside Albert on Tuesday October 29th

A maximum of 64 cubic feet of waste will be accepted. Only 3 large cleanup items (fridge, stove, freezer, dishwasher, humidifier, washer, BBQ, couch, mattress, dresser, etc.) per household will be collected. All yard waste must be tied and bundled in lengths no longer than 6 feet.

Please securely box, bag & bundle waste. -Tires (no more than 4 per household) must be removed from rims. -No car parts, rocks, ashes, sand or gravel. -No household hazardous waste, (ie: batteries, light bulbs, propane tanks, etc.) -No construction or demolition materials such as, but not limited to, asphalt shingles, dry wall, windows, toilets or plumbing fixtures. 

Reminder: Black garbage bags will NOT be accepted.
